I really enjoy when games have that one early game item that stays relevant throughout

The moment I laid eyes on the TItanstring Bow I was also smitten. Glad to see this beauty didn't get overlooked! Very proud to say my first run in BG3 was as a Ranger with the Sharpshooter feat too. I was also a Seldarine Drow, and when I found Phalar Aluve in the Underdark I knew this game was basically made for me.

It is truly impressive what mods can do to one's personality
and yes, the bow is very good

Titanstring is up there in my mandatory "get" list right next to the Returning Pike, goated weapon

My honor mode completion was with a Hafling Bard with the Titanstring bow. Slashing flourish with that thing is stupidddd strong. Used it the entire game. Tried dead shot and the bow from the steel watcher foundry and they didn’t even compare damage wise

I’ve always played stealth archer in Skyrim and as a new BG3 player I’ve been stressing out trying to find a playstyle that suits me 😭 but this.. this has convinced me 😏

if the play footage is from honour mode you are VERY lucky. Me with 95% accuracy miss A LOT and not even normal miss but critical misses and you manage to land all your attacks, even a 55% on the phase spider

Thanks for nice info. Old guard from BG1 and BG2 era here, always loved archer builds. Going so much for Indiana Tav swords bard now "dont bring sword to a bow fight"

Yeah I slept on this hard in my first run. Picked this up after watching one of your livestream vods and using it to annihilate my current run (not sure I'll go as far as full stealth archer but we'll see!)

Combine the Titanstring Bow with the Club of Hill Giant Strength and the knife of the undermountain king.

WINNING.

It's cool to see all the stealth builds, but because I've seen so many I feel compelled to beat honor mode without any stealth characters now haha.

That club used to only be 16 STR. I don't know when they changed it, but that changes things.

The fact that the potions of giant strength work all day makes this bow stupid good.

This thing is hideously good. Almost irks me that I agonized about taking it off for Deadshot or just keeping it but that level of reliability campaign wide just wins man...

Yeah I put this bow on Astarion for my first playthrough and it was so good he took out most bosses with sneak attack. I’m thinking of making a ranger playthrough with this bow bc it’s awesome.

I no longer doubt bows in dnd based games. Played Pathfinder wrath of the righteous, my level 5 Barb crits for 50 damage, my level 5 fighter skilled to archery? Crits for 70 damage, 4 attacks. Sometimes you just gotta stab a motha, but he's far away.
