Where's the list of Macs who don't need the KDK? My MBP Late 2013 didn't automatically download it. Wondering if it should or shouldn't.

Update from Sonoma 14.1.1 to 14.1.2 worked flawlessly on my MacBookPro9, 2 (MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012) with OLP 1.2.1. Thank you for your work!

My Mac mini 2012 got stuck in the boot process after upgrading to OLCP 1.2.1 and Sonoma 14.0. Now I am back to olcp 0.6.8 and Ventura. It will be a long time before I venture to upgrade again… The recommended workarounds didn’t work for me as even the recovery partition didn’t start up anymore.

OUTSTANDING!!! My first upgrade attempt ended with a recycling boot, restart loop. I built a second installer from OpenCore and tried again -- and it works perfectly! I lost zero data. Machine: MacPro 5, 1

Legend! I installed 14.1.2 without the KDK patcher. Saw this video and followed the instructions. 14.1.2 Running Smoothly! Cheers!

Hey, thank you for all these amazing updates n info! I am running Ventura on my mid year 2011 imac. I had tried to go to Sonoma and sonoma updates, but it was a bit glitchy and heavy on the CPU load for startup for my machine. Decided to go back to Ventura to keep running smooth. Will eventually go to Sonoma once some of the glitches are better ironed out by Apple, and or the OCLP.

( MBP 2012 + OCLP 1.2.1 + Sonoma 14.0 ) Thanks for the insight into how the kdk pre-download looks and where it is stored. I am waiting for Sonoma 14.2 update. Works fine almost all the time though i notice there are some graphics issues and some inconsistencies in Universal Control linking mouse and keyboard to another MBP 2012 running OCLP + latest Monterey. Also noted that AirPlay looks partly broken in Sonoma (sound and browsers), but extending screens to another MBP works ok.

Thanks for the great videos and invaluable info!

Thanks for another well explained update video. I have a 14, 2 27” i7 iMac running Ventura mostly without issue and I’ll be staying on that until probably 14.3 is released and confirmed working with OCLP. I do run a seperate Sonoma volume and so far have not noticed any issues, but it’s too early to move to that system after the issues we experienced last year with 13.3.

Installation took about :10 minutes on my SUPPORTED Late 2018 8.1 Intel MacMini. Took ~:45-:50 minutes to download and install on my two UNSUPPORTED 2019 6.1 MacPro's with OpenCore. Everything worked as you showed, and they seems to be running just fine.

Whenever I start a software update it never automatically launches OpenCore Legacy Patcher to be able to download the KDK. What have I done wrong? The first and only time I did an update after using OpenCore Legacy Patcher it stalled after re-booting on launch and was a pain to resolve. I don't want to ever have to go through that again. I'm running the latest version of OpenCore Legacy Patcher (1.21) on a Mid 2014 MacBook Pro 15" (MacBook Pro 11, 2)

Thank you Mr macintosh. Just updated iMac 27" 2009 and MBP 13" 2011 with 14.1.2. Both working like a charm. On both machines KDK DL needed.

Thank you for your work. Unfortunately, my MacBookAir 6, 2 update is stuck at boot… The Commands in macOS Recovery to revert the root patches did not work either.

Tried to boot of OCLP installer USB drive, but Mackintosh HD shows greyed out, unavailable.

Any ideas? Anyone?
