Elon Musk, notorious free speech absolutist, cracks down on employee's free speech.

The best description I’ve heard yet of what Elon Musk ACTUALLY does is that he’s actually extremely bad at being a CEO - he’s very good at being a MASCOT.

The extent of the power of money is the extent of my power. Money’s properties are my – the possessor’s – properties and essential powers. Thus, what I _am_ and _am capable of_ is by no means determined by my individuality. I _am_ ugly, but I can buy for myself the _most beautiful_ of women. Therefore I am not _ugly, _ for the effect of _ugliness_ – its deterrent power – is nullified by money. I, according to my individual characteristics, am _lame, _ but money furnishes me with twenty-four feet. Therefore I am not lame. I am bad, dishonest, unscrupulous, stupid; but money is honoured, and hence its possessor. Money is the supreme good, therefore its possessor is good. Money, besides, saves me the trouble of being dishonest: I am therefore presumed honest. *I am **_brainless, _** but money is the **_real brain_** of all things and how then should its possessor be brainless? Besides, he can buy clever people for himself, and is he who has power over the clever not more clever than the clever?* Do not I, who thanks to money am capable of _all_ that the human heart longs for, possess all human capacities? Does not my money, therefore, transform all my incapacities into their contrary?
~Karl Marx

Sam needs to make a more convincing argument against the existence of billionaires. Most Americans think that a billionaire is just a really great millionaire. The better argument is that a rational tax system would be steeply graduated at ulta-high income levels, such that practically speaking, it would be impossible to become a billionaire. That sounds a lot more palatable and practical.

European Union has enough clout to make Apple adopt the USB-C port for their devices. Now let’s watch Elon make fun of them like he did to Senator Ed Markey. 🤞

Apparently, Elon Musk is working tirelessly 24/7 to come up with a new terrible idea each day.

In the EU.... their governments actually take steps to protect them from harmful actors with massive amounts of power on the internet

Thank God for the Europeans. Their laws are so much better. They are like the California in the US- when California makes regulations, like environmental or consumer protections, every other US state either adopts them or benefits because California is one the largest markets and in order to have the same products across the US to save costs, everyone else benefits

It's always fun to see $44 billion burn.

I grew up in Europe and i always wondered why America was the country where people get rich so fast. After spending time there i realized that in America the government doesn't protect the citizens from con men and there almost no regulations in many industries.

I totally agree with Sam. Every single billionaire is a failure of our tax policy, and they should never happen.

The EU fined Google $5 billion in 2018, fined Google $2.7 billion in 2017, fined Intel $1.5 billion in 2009, fined Microsoft $1 billion in 2004. They do not play around.

Not only should there be no billionaires, but those elected should not be dependent on millionaires or billionaires either.

Elon is, and has been, in his “I know better than the experts” phase. His handling of Twitter is now making clear just how full of crap he really is.

What I'm curious to know is, how does Elon 100% get away with this without personally losing a single thing? Because I just feel all of our current systems are set up to make sure guys like him always get away with everything they do on whatever whim, no matter how many lives they leave in shambles

His "unregulated Free Peach" concept might also end up violating the EU's Digital Service Act which has been made to stop the spread of disinformation…
