I'm gunna grab switch for all 3 re-releases because having them in aa portable form is just way too perfect. Playing them while relaxing in bed just seems like a fantastic way to expierence them.

xCloud, the version that is not in the video haha :D. Legit this is probably how I will play it (if its possible).. I completed the original version and I did start Royal at one point but stopped due to time... Part of me wishes to get it on the Switch as it would be fun to play Royal and then Strikers straight after. Probably the Steam version is the superior one due to mods and steam deck....
People will probably make some amazing mods for the game! (Its soo nice for Persona to be on so many platforms and people to have choice haha)

I have the game on Switch and it works like a dream aside from some minor camera issues. I'm also considering the Steam version just for the mods.

Steam for me. I can play on my pc and steam deck. If this was a year ago I would have picked the switch version for the portability and for that physical copy, but I already own the original version of p5 on ps4 as well as the phantom thieves edition of royal. So steam it is. 99% of it will be played on the deck probably.

PC for sure, simply because of an inevitable 60 FPS patch. i mean yeah you can technically play P5 on RPCS3 at 60 FPS there believe me if you don't have a really high end PC it isn't gonna work out. i did and i can tell ya, 60 in small areas, 40-50 in dungeons, 20-30 in dense areas so but considering this will be running on native hardware oh you bet we'll be getting that sweet 60 babey! (also i highly doubt you'll need a good PC for this, considering my mid range set up could emulate it fine *besides the frame drops* so yeah i'll definitely be getting it on windows this fall :P)

I went for Switch. I was one of the people who really wanted a Switch port, so it would have been a bit disingenuous if I didn’t buy it on Switch. I may eventually buy it on Steam to check out mods but that won’t be for a long time

Which version will be the best will ultimately depend on what platforms you have. Few will have multiple at their disposal. They should all be fine on their own.

The best technical experience is PC since you'd not be dealing with technical limitations. Things will go as high as the game and your computer allow and yes, you can use mods and other tweaks if you so desire. Maybe I'll apply some fixes if there are any on PCGamingWiki, but that's pretty much it for me. You don't have to. PC gaming is about choice.

Though one point I would make is that PC doesn't have generations the way consoles have. If you buy a copy, then in theory, it will continue to work for many years to come and by the time it does cause issues, then you can probably find solutions online. Compatibility problems are much less of a concern on PC. It gives you more flexibility as to what games you can play in general; the year doesn't really matter, but yeah.

Go with what you have and enjoy the ride.

On PS4, persona 5 Royal Ultimate edition is so much cheaper than the standard PS4 Persona 5 ultimate edition. It the royal one the real game or is it just an upgrade over the normal edition?
