"Persona 5 was already a strong front-runner for being the best JRPG ever made, and Royal really gets me wondering what else could even compete. The excellent story and its lovable, multidimensional characters along with the challenging, tactical combat are all refined and back for another round with new surprises and new friends in tow. There are new areas to explore and new twists to leave your jaw on the floor. Very little has been left untouched, and just about everything that has been touched is better off for it. The Phantom Thieves have stolen my heart all over again, and I don't really want it back."

Considering the original score was already a high 9 and IGN doesn't do decimal point scores anymore, it was almost a forgone conclusion that an improved version of P5 was going to get a 10.

Even after plunging 125 hours into it, I've never been so sad for a game to end. What a masterpiece. I'm sorry it took me so long to play it.

Their OSTs never fail to impress me. Shoji Meguro will go down as one of the best composers in history for game tracks IMO

Just finished the game and i must say this is the most rewarding game i have played over the last 5 years. Absolutely insane the amount of content this game has and how they brilliantly extended the original story. Absolute 10 out of 10 for me.

The best things about this are that they sprinkle in new contents along the way, you will see meaningful new content as early as minutes into the game, unlike in most other games where they just gate the new content behind a "door-to-new-content."
