so i found out why most usb mics don’t work for the iphone. using audio technica as an example, most iphones generate upto 3.3 volts from the port and need atleast 2 more assisting power. using apples 3.0 camera adapter will help push more current to power your mics. hope this helps

what you're not telling everyone is that you need a USB splitter to power the mic. You're phone doesn't have enough power on it's own to power the mic.

My mic (Samson Q2U) with my usb to lightning adapter works great. Except, it is not working for my weekly Zoom calls. Even when plugged in and green power light on mic is lit, my iPhone mic is transmitting my voice on the Zoom call. Any answers??? Thanks
