Story 1: Um, that’s not entitlement. That’s literal insanity. OP’s sister should see a shrink.

Story 1: I'm all for letting family babysit kids, but if any of them showed psychosis like OP's sister, I wouldn't even let them be anywhere *NEAR* the kids.

Aww, I wanted to know if the sister actually went to social services. It would've been hilarious to read about her reaction when they told her she was insane.

Story 1 is insane. Like genuinely. Growing up, my brother was the exact same way where he needed my attention 24/7 to the point where he didn't care if it was positive or negative attention. My brothers and I were even taken from our household as well, but he chilled out after he got out of his foster home (my grandparents refused to take him which I still resent them for) and we're able to chill out more.
It sounds like the sister not only has attachment issues but also that the problem started when she was a kid and just started to really manifest as a problem as they both got older.

There's a thing called personal space. But I think sister needs a little mental health check up

what parental rights? sis gotta get approval before she can do all the crap she doing. plus she shouldn’t be trying to do all the stuff OP wishes to do, like a leech that never goes away

Last story has appeared elsewhere but is still worth reading. A salute to this OP.

OP’s daughter is not a toy to be borrowed, that sister needs to know some boundaries. I recommend to op, she should not allow her sister to visit until she respects op’s choices and if the sister isn’t going to listen to reason and tries to take op’s daughter, then call the police.

Story 2: That is something I will get mad about is smokers. I have health issues because of I grew up in a family of smokers and i never smoked in my life. I can't walk without getting out of breath and I can't breath right cause I have COPD.

*Story 1:* That's *worse* than delusional. I can certainly understand wanting to spend some quality time with one's niece or nephew. But this is *worse* than insane! I would've filed a restraining order against sister and barred her from *ever* having any contact with OP.

to op, i'm sorry that happened to her that her own sister wants the baby and to the sister i hope that she gets loads of help.

The op in story 1 doesn't understand what personal time. Your daughter is living and your sister shouldnt be using that as a bargaining tool

I'm happy that the contractor got his license and everything's working out for him, but he's a part of a terrible predatory system that is actively keeping people from own homes.

Fuck Landlords and company owned homes.

That first story, I think the entire family needs therapy. Original poster included.

The part about calling cps on the older sister for not “sharing” The older SISTERS daughter they probably would have laughed at her like “really lady you’re not the kids mother don’t waste our time”

Story 1: I think parental rights only apply to the spouse during separation or grandparents, unless the child is being abused in any shape or form, the sister has no leg to bark demands from Op.

the guy in the second story is an absolute *legend* for still paying for the kid's item even after the dad acted the way he did. and I can't believe the dad actually thought he'd pay for the whole cart, and reacted the way he did when it turned out he was wrong. I have had people help pay for things who's prices I mildly underestimated in the past, and I've always been nice about it when they did so, even when it's just a couple cents or a dollar or 2, so this father getting upset over someone refusing to pay for the entirety of his cart is just baffling to me.
