It’s sad how when I was younger I always thought this happened so much longer ago than it actually did. If MLK was alive today, he would be younger than my great-grandmother, and she’s still alive.

Strange to think that this wasn't that long ago...

For me he was the man of the 20th century… his name and deeds seem to outlast those of great presidents. The part, though not captured, that have me in awe was his opposition to the Vietnam war on moral grounds. He stood even when standing a lone… called unpatriotic and unamerican and abandoned by even some of his closest friends. Indeed a stalwart man of God and the conscience of a nation

The conscience of a generation, no truer words have been spoken. I'm grateful we are not where we used to be as a Nation, but we still have work to do. Thank you Dr. King!

It's nice that he gets the recognition even today by many! Back then majority wanted his guts on a silver platter. Especially in the South!

The definition of a true american. It's sad how his message has been lost.

Martin Luther King was truly a hero! God was with him every step of the way even up till his death, then the angels carried his soul to heaven. He loved the Lord and loved his neighbors no matter the color of their skin. God used him to set the black people free! He is my hero!!!
