"In honoring Martin Luther King, Jr.’s memory we also acknowledge non-violence as a truly powerful weapon to achieve equality and liberation-—in fact, the only weapon that Christians who struggle for social change can claim as their own...Examine history. Who gets killed in the case of violent revolution? The poor, the workers. The people of the land are the ones who give their bodies and don’t really gain that much for it. We believe it is too big a price to pay for not getting anything. Those who espouse violence exploit people. To call men to arms with many promises, to ask them to give up their lives for a cause and then not produce for them afterwards, is the most vicious type of oppression" *---Cesar Chavez, He Showed Us The Way*

I might not agree with CRT, depending on the devil in the details. But I feel like Dr. King's sermons and philosophy ought to be taught as part and parcel of Patriotic education, and Character education, in America's schools. Moral education is important now more than ever. America has not had a better MORAL voice than Martin Luther King, Jr. By the way, he was a close friend of Billy Graham, perhaps closer than JFK.

Small correction: Dr. King did not change his name on his own. It was his father, King Sr. that did after a visit to Germany.

And twitter wants to bring back segregation lol. If Martin could see what's going on today he'd be very dissapointed.

The Budah forgot he was a Christian, for 15 minutes. Something is recognisable about this guy. Not kidding
