I will always ALWAYS be so grateful and thankful for this man right here. I was made fun of in school for having African American idol’s… Maya Angelou saved my life with “The caged bird.” Nelson Mandela will always scream love to me and Sydney Poitier gave me the strength and endurance I needed to set the bar higher. I was raised in a non racist home during a time that it existed abundantly. But not in my home. I never thought of my friends as another race or being different, I just admired the beauty we all had and brought to the table. It wasn’t always pretty. Later in school, I would learn that I wasn’t appreciated as a white kid, I didn’t understand it. I was bullied by the black kids in school. Not all of them. But I didn’t allow those experiences to change me. I set the bar higher and educated myself to say the right thing at the right time. In high school we all we’re friends and we ALWAYS had each other’s backs. Even to this day. Love one another and celebrate our differences. It’s Beautiful.

Thank you Rev., Dr. Martin Luther King for everything you did and tried to do to help bring about much needed attention to a myriad of wrongs that needed to be made right in order to help change to the world at large for the better. You were a living legacy in the making and I trust that you have received your greatest reward for the bravado and social/emotional intelligence that you have shown, as you confer with other spiritual solders "on the other side of the veil".... I want to, sadly, report that the community has seen a dramatic change, a degradation that I don't even think you could have imagined in your wildest dreams. Please, if you can, tell God that our youth could use some help in restoration on so many levels. Tell the Souce of Love that evil has overtaken the land and only a few of us have kept watch, but we need re-enforcement to save our children and country. Also, ask for guidance and protection for us as we endeavor to give them a future that better reflects what you saw in your dream for us. Eternsl love/T.y....Rest in Power,
