Choose clothes that are versatile and can be mixed and matched.

Choose clothes in neutral colors that can be easily paired with other pieces.

Choose clothes that are well-made and will last for a long time.

Don't be afraid to invest in a few key pieces, such as a good pair of jeans or a classic blazer.

Have fun with your wardrobe and experiment with different styles.

I could see there is so much of hard work behind putting everything together in video and blogs. You are really amazing. Your content are Fresh and OnPoint. Thank you so much

I started building my capsule wardrobe after i lost weight and i remember that it was actually fun and i learned a lot cause of it. I was a student and had no more than few hundred dollars so i focused more on quality rather than quantity.

Something like :-

1. White t, black t & navy t & then a light denim jeans first 2 months
2. Black shirt, white shirt & dark denim jeans.
3. Grey chinos, beige chinos, navy long polo

Something like that... divide then in outfits and it'll be much easier

I feel there is a template here we could find out and tweak to have a capsul wardrobe model we can make ours.
I'm giving it a try but share your thoughts (commentors and OnPointFresh !)

First I feel that a capsule wardrobe has 3 types of pieces
- Pieces from your target style
- Pieces that are one or two steps underdressed for your target style
- Pieces that are one or two steps above on the dressy scale than your target style

Then, it seems the pieces go in pairs or in threes
For colors, you have one or two neutral colors and one accent color/pattern if you want.
I'd think if you go with two neutrals, you'd try to have one light and one dark.
You can have patterns with your neutrals.

So you got :
- 2-3 pants of your style
- 2-3 pants that are more casual or classier
- 2-3 tops of your style
- 2-3 tops that are more casual or classier
- 2-3 jacket/overcoats in your style
- 3 pair of shoes (one more casual, one of your style and one classier)

And finally to make the capsul wardrobe a bit less static or "I bought my style online", you'd probably want to buy the same pieces in different store. Like if you have 2-3 dress shirt, you'd want to have each of them comming from a different brand. Just like in interior design you don't want everything IKEA and even worse everything IKEA from the same colelction, no matter how convenient it is.

That's my attempt at some kind of "Capsule wardrobe template"

This is 100% depending on your style but I think you’ve explained this very well basics are everything in fashion for example if you wanna look like a 90s/2000s skater pairs of really baggy jeans, chunky shoes and oversized T shirts/hoodies are all you need to achieve that look so basically focus on the basic clothing first

I wish I had a friend to help a brother out with fashion because i suck at it. I want to look and feel my best but I don't have lots of money not having a job yet stuck in education system which doesn't teach anything good on fashion. I've tried to get some pieces that I can mix and match but my eyes ain't good at making a good pair of matches and even getting new clothes that fit me just right and look right on me!
