Putin Appoints Ukraine 'Acting Heads’, Kremlin Vow For Annexed Regions, Kadyrov Now Colonel General

Ukraine’s military claims that it has killed over 200 Russian troops over the last 24 hours and destroyed various military equipment. Kyiv said Russian forces had attacked the Zaporizhzhia city with Iskander-K missiles on October 4. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed his army’s counteroffensive in the east and south of the country. Russia-backed official Kirill Stremousov claims that his troops are regrouping amid Ukraine’s rapid advance in Kherson. A top Russian war correspondent said on state television that Russian forces had endured significant losses in Kherson. Russian President Putin signed into law measures that claim to annex four Ukrainian regions into the Russian Federation. Moscow has vowed to retake land lost to Kyiv's counteroffensives within the annexed Ukrainian regions. Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said that Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant will operate under the supervision of Russian agencies. Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov has been granted the third top rank in army as Russia grapplies with a series of defeats in Ukraine.
