Though iPadOS 18 (Public Beta) is far from what we ultimately wanted (especially for the new M4 iPad Pro models) Apple still managed to cram some great quality of life features that will make the current iPadOS experience even better... even if it's only marginally. In this video I go over Smart Script, the new Calculator app and Math Notes, UI changes and customization, Voice Memos live transcription, changes to Safari, the new Passwords and the Apple Intelligence changes coming later this year!

I made the decision last year to get a m2 iPad instead of a laptop for university and it has honestly changed the way I write essays and take notes. I’m looking forward to utilising the new intelligent features this next academic year

Auto refine handwriting feature is much welcome because the reason I hate to write on iPad is because I have a very neat handwriting but I couldn’t do it on iPad as good as on paper and it really makes me keeps repeating to refine it. This new feature will save my time a lot. 😊

If choosing only one device, what would it be best? iPad Pro 11 or MacBook Air m3. I need just web browsing and reading books, nothing more.

I’ve bought an iPad Air 4 few years ago and it’s still going. I love it and I wanted it to replace my laptop. It dit a good job but still a tablet tho. Apple is locking us out with IPad OS.

I think I will buy a surface pro 11 now. I’m done with IPads. Maybe for fun. But for ultimate productivity…it still has a long way long way to go

All these features are cool but what i would like to see is some integration with macOS file systems so we can use this iPad as a laptop and let the public decide which devices to buy and use

Tbh I think they missed a big opportunity with the new control center on iPad. I like the idea of multiple pages on the iPhone but the space is here on iPad. Why don't go for a one screen ultra powerful control center?

Good video. The new features are very welcome from Apple. I would like to see iPadOS-19 bring more robust Desktop features to iPad but until then remote desktop is an excellent work-around to use on any iPad model.

I personally don’t really want a Mac-like UI. I got an iPad because I didn’t want the Mac experience, so to make it a touchscreen Mac would be a disappointment for me and I would likely try not to ever update if it came to that. I like that this is touch first and focuses more on the average use case of tablets: to read, take notes, and draw. Nothing about a Mac is made for those so I don’t think it has much of a place on a tablet.

Does it allow multiple sounds playing simultaneously now 😮‍💨 I’ve always hated the fact I cannot watch two videos at once. I often watch Youtube videos while watching a game, only Android tablets allow that (I used to be a Samsung Tab S9 owner)

Should I choose M1 11 iPad Pro or iPad Mini 6? Also, is cellular worth it on iPad? (Mainly for watching yt videos, web browsing and note taking, and if using the iPad mini, maybe I will consider to take it outside with me so cellular would be needed for this). Currently have 2018 iPad Pro which is slow and sluggish with poor battery life after 5 years of use.
