My best friend is my hairdresser and she cuts my hubby’s curls as well. We both have the same curl type as you have and she cuts us wet as well and uses the same technique. She knows her stuff. I get weird looks for getting wet cuts too, but for both my husband and I it works too.

I cut my hair myself. Have done so for 10 years now after the last straw of hairdressers not respecting the huuurrr and the wishes of their client. I wanted to keep the hair as long as possible, she cut it 30cm. I wanted my curls and waves respected, and they wanted to *gasp* straighten the hair and they just blow-dried it and did a brushing and so I ended with 0 waves or curls for the next two days and my hair was the shortest it had been since I was like 14? I was NOT happy.

I cut my hair with the hair tie method and on dampish hair too and it looks GOOD. I will never put another foot in a salon. Nothing against hairdressers, because there are a lot of good ones out there, but I'm not paying 25€ min. to get a haircut I can do myself, where I have 100% control and using the products I wanna use.
