1b and 1c hair exist. It's still considered straight hair when it's not wavy enough to be actually wavy and it's ok. Straight hair doesn't always equate to pin straight like straightened hair or "Asian" straight hair.

Your hair type is a blessing 🙌🏾, it's got volume, body and holds styles mad well, unless it's like a pin straight style. That's the one good thing I like about my coarse/frizzy hair in a way

That’s exactly my problem! I’ve always had my hair layered or else it would poof up especially when it’s humid. Then in the past year I have been getting an undercut and it immediately removed 1/4 of the volume. This made my hair look somewhat normal.
