I just cut my long light wavy hair using this tutorial. It is amazing! Very easy, I did it completely by myself, using a little mirror to check if sections are straight on the back of my head.
My haircut looks well balanced, very light, beautiful volume, and the initial hair length is preserved on the back!
The best haircut I have ever had!
P.s. one thing I invested money in - new sharp professional scissors.
Thank you, master ! 🙏

Not to judge meanly, because I understand everyone has different hair and preferences unique to themselves... but as someone with curly/wavy 2b/2c hair, I CANT stand it when hairstylists scrunch curls aggressively and use heavy gel. It just ends up making my hair look like a rats nest. I’m tired of hair stylists not understanding how to really style waves or curls that are fine-textured. Personally, my hair likes gentle clumping and volume around the crown. It allows my curls to really form without frizz and prevents my style from looking triangular or disarrayed. (Just my two cents that no one asked for lol)

Cut my wife’s hair with this guide and she loves it :) Her waves are insane now

Honestly the end result of the cut is beautiful but the products used made the hair look stringy and crunchy. A lot of us wavy girls want a soft shiney look to our hair! 🥰 would love to see you do something like that instead of this gel.

I have fine 2c-3a curls that are very prone to frizz. I did this cut on myself this morning and it's I think the best cut I've ever had. I have a pretty shallow side part where I have a natural cowlick, so my "weak" side ended up being a bit flat compared to the "strong" side - I had to go back in and adjust the layers a bit on that side. Next time I might do both sides more similar to how the "strong" side is done, since my part is so close to center anyway. I did the whole cut dry, and did a couple of touch up snips after washing it to keep a few curl patterns together where they wanted to lay. So so pleased.

Thanks! Always had problems with hairdressers as they don’t know how to cut thick wavy hair like mine. So usually I have to fix it at home. 😄 ps that cut balanced the thickness on both sides. 👏

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This haircut instruction was the BEST. It's true what everyone commented; great results. We were shocked. After trusting the process, this cut brought out the waves on two people in the household and was easy to do. You saved us $200+!

Only wish there were more camera angles on the parts where you start off, cutting the sides. Was hard to tell whether you pulled the hair forward and across the face or forward and straight out away from the face.

Still turned out beautifully (waves are forgiving) but we'd love a part 2 with even more details. Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you! I did this on myself twice now and it looks great. I have fine wavy/ curly hair and this cut works on my hair since I can’t get to a salon due to covid right now. I may continue doing this and just get a professional cut every once in a while to clean everything up. Thanks again! Truly appreciate it!

Love this tutorial, very easy to follow, pretty hard to mess up. I was looking to freshen up my hair and since there aren't a whole lot of curl specialists near me I decided to go at it myself and im so happy I did! This is one of the most suiting cuts I've ever had for my lower density 2c curls ❤

QUESTION, When you started to cut the opposite side at 1:42 how do you know how much to cut if there isn’t a guide? Or did you make a guide that is even to the first cutting you did? I don’t know how to word this, I have not watched the whole video yet but, I thought I’d ask before I forgot!!!!

This cut is so awesome
I have been seeking a hairstylist for what seems like my whole life to get a cut that applies my mostly wavy hair I have concluded, but a few spots are a bit more curly. So I always took the curly style route which ended up like bed hair. Most stylist cannot understand my hair. It's so frustrating.
I'm letting these many layers grow out right now and my sides never blended right because my stylist dis them separate. Disastrous
I have hair shears and went to the bathroom and followed your demonstration
My hair instantly calmed and looks so put together. I hope to find a stylist who will go this for me as I'm sure my cutting is not so precise but it's a remarkable change.

I know I'm watching this a year after but, I'm having trouble seeing how you decided how much to cut on the heavy side, or where the guide came from for that side. Great video tho, I love your tutorials, they have been helping me sooo much as a new stylist ❤👏🌻

I really loved my long, wavy hair but I had to cut it because of all the knots I was getting. I have bad dandruff so I’m too embarrassed to go to a hairdresser, so this video really helped me, thank you!

#freesaloneducation how did you determine your lengths from light side to heavy side? (before you cut the top). Light side you kept low, heavy side you elevated, but how did you determine the lengths so they were balanced? Didn't catch that. @freesaloneducation
