Tyrant Dragon Animation

Spent a month animating the Tyrant Dragon Rig created by Truong. I storyboarded and animated the shot. Bazil power lit and rendered the shot. Conor Louw did all the simulation in the shot. Daniel Du Plessis comped the shot. Jacques Naudé created all the sound effects. Music is from House of the Dragon

also tiny piece of advice, take it or leave it it's up to you:

if you made his movements just a bit slower he would seem a lot bigger, since the quick movements imply that he still has a small enough amount of mass to move so freely so i think it would be pretty neat if you gave him a bit more of the illusion of mass

So sick! The flame glowing in the dragon’s neck as it breathes fire is a great touch, love it!

Yep that is a fine dragon.
Well done on animation the wings, how they fold and flare back up, after giving him som speed.
And the firebreath stops with just a bit of smoke? Thank you!
One little thing though that could make the impact of those wings unfolding, could be a slapping sound instead of the gently whoshing Jacques used here.
Those are giant sails of leathery skin after all.

You got that G.R.R.M. dragon, eh? And holy freaking crap, excellent animation. All the movements feel so realistic, like the adjustment of the hind legs as it's spitting fire. Perfect!
