Tyrant Dragon Animation - MAYA 2023

Hi everyone, this is my third year project here in Side Academy in Verona (IT).
This animation led me to win the golden dragon at the Venice Film Festival as best animator artist of the academy.

I had to thank Truong CG Artist for creating this beautiful model and rig :

That animation is so smooth!! You can really feel the weight of each step and flap of the wings! Also, I’m super surprised there was hardly any clipping! Superb animation all round

Also that is a gorgeous model, Truong really outdid themselves

You wayy to underrated you could definitely be hired for movies or something because your animation reminds me of Game Of Thrones and they were really good with the dragon animations, Anyways love your stuff keep it up👍😁

Really nice job on this. Tho I did notice one tiny tiny issue with the underside of the wing fasing though the top of the wing in the walk cycle.

En lo general me encanta el diseño de éste dragón, incluso más que Drogon: Sus cuernos rectos y coloración oscura y rojiza me han gustado bastante.
Y la calidad de la animación es excelente. 👌
Lo único que no me gusta son esas dos pequeñas púas en su mentón. Yo se las quitaría.

Image a realistic survival game very much like the isle, but instead of it being the usual dinosaur survival theme, image a game/world where dragons and dinosaurs live alongside each other ( along with a few other fantasy creatures like griffin's) and are are in constant conflict with one another. Fighting over food, water, territory etc. Image a game such as this built in the latest unreal engine. In my opinion its a great concept for a survival game and a concept that no one has attempted yet. Why has no one thought of this yet why. Literally what's not to love. A realistic survival game where you are able to play as both dragons and please!

Does anyone have resources to find out how to shoot fire from a dragon's mouth? I assume this was done in unreal.

The flying is quite nice. The walking is good except for that weird skin/bone interaction on the right wing when moving.
