Would love this dragon in day of dragons game

i'm doing a 2D cell shaded animation of a continuous flight cycle of a drake (as seen from the front) and i've been looking for any reference whatsoever, and this is the best i've seen so far. I've decided i want to animate all my characters settling into position during the last few seconds of my trailer. but the drake flying cycle has been the one thing holding me back.

I'm guessing you used a curve for the flight path, rather than trying to keyframe each position by eye?
I've just started playing around with the Tyrant. Lots to fiddle with!

Geewhiz, wow, you can actually feel its roar. It made me cringe on the inside inner being wise, though that is.

good but "too perfect" and unnatural (symmetric) wing movement

Pretty cool I love it, but, the wing movement is too fast for this huge beast and it really gives away the realistic feeling. Better if it flaps less, and much slower because now it looks like a small bird landing on the ground. Also, the end of the wings when it goes downwards, must be more rigid, like bird feathers, to give the feeling that the Tryant blocks the air more efficiently and slows his weight down easily, here's an example:


-The crow's wings is in vertical position to block the air way before landing, and for this a rigid wing needed.
- flaps less
- the body turns into vertical position way before the landing to help itself slow down ( you cold do it between 0:03 and 0:04, maybe)
Watching bat/bird landing slow motion videos will help you so much!

Please try it, you are very good at this, you can do it, and it's gonna be awesome:)
