I'm often asked how to get high quality footage with my Insta360 X4. While the X4 can shoot 8K, a big boost compared to other 360 cameras, there's still some steps you need to take if you want your videos looking as good as they can get.

This video takes you through my shooting and editing process; this is how I get the best out of my X4.

Great video.Thank you.One more thing to clearify about setting for color grading. Do you shot in standard mode or flat for color grading? Also, I want to know your opinion for shooting in doors and lower lighting situations like twilights.Insta doesn't recommend to shoot 8k30 or 5K+30 but some vlogers suggest that better to shoo 8K30 with ISO Auto upto 800max and manual shetter speed of 1/100 -1/200 range. What is your experience with it?Also, if it is better to shoot alway as widest option in settings?Thank you so much in advance.I would get ypur course later but I would be great to know those setting because I am on vacation in Europe and planning to visit museum and shoot with Insta360 x4 indoors but I guess Museum of Vatican will have good lighting

I’ve found that the phone app does a better job with the stitch line than the desktop app even with the various stitching options. Is there an ideal option or combination of options to use in the desktop app?

Great video ! Is the X4 image quality better if you shoot with only one lense and do not do reframing ?

What if i do everything like in this video and still have noise, color artifacts in shaded areas with my X4 at iso 100? Just basic info in this video, like clear your lens which is evident. Not a single word about ISO or color setting (standard, flat? which is better?) or about noise reduction in post - which hopefully will solve my issue, otherwise i will send my X4 back :(

Thank you for this useful video! Question about the color correction feature: It's built also in the 360studio, why use another program?

It should be said that if you doubt the sunlight is overall lighting is the scene well, then you should not shoot in 8k!!! I made the mistake of not checking the settings in afternoon after shooting in completely sunny morning and if is not perfect out, the sensors take a dump on your video and you get a lot of noise. You have to go DOWN to 5.7K immediately if you don't have great sunshine. I have many videos where overcast came and the video is grainy because it is 8k.

useful tips! But people also thinks it must look great because of claimed 8K resolution. But 8K is only the equirectangular resolution and not the reframed video you watch on screen

your course is very helpful. what do u think about color plus in the studio software for color correction? also, for basic color correction do u believe capcut is better than final cut pro?

I like the way you speak english. I'm asian and I'm not good in english, but I can understand every explanations that you say because you speak very clear and use a simple word. Thank you for this good video. I'm done subscribe..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hey nice videos. Thank you for your tips. I really loved the last video you posted in Athens. I was about to export a video after adjusting colours on CapCut but then once I upload it to YouTube it didn’t work as 360 degree video. I used the same settings as you mentioned here but did not work. How do you do it? Thank you! 😊

I have had major problems with Version 5.2 freezing or closing while trying to edit in Project mode.

Excellent! I’ve been looking for differences between app and studio desktop and could find something useful. Thank you for your video.

There must be other editing and filter settings that everyone doing youtube demos use and does not show. All settings amd workflow you described I use since x2, x3……and the final result is not the same

Hi, thanks for sharing the great tips. I don't have any software for editing ProRes, am considering to get one. Based on your experience, is there any quality difference specifically in terms of softness and noise, between exporting insv -> mp4 with Insta Studio vs exporting insv -> ProRes -> mp4 by using third party software? Are techniques in your video course applicable to 360 video (non-reframed)? Thank you.
