3:35 To European standards, the US Democratic party is fiscally right-wing and socially somewhere in the middle. It makes sense that moderate right-wing parties would agree with the US Democratic party.

The last 3rd party presidential candidate to win votes in the electoral college, was extreme right wing candidate George Wallace, who won five southern states and 48 electoral votes in 1968.

In the US, voting for a third party candidate for president is equivalent of not voting at best, but usually it's equivalent to voting for the person you least would like in office. The electoral college system makes third party candidates completely unviable options and voting for them instead of the candidate you'd prefer from the two major parties is always worse for the party you agree with more.

Love ya Toycat, but I feel like a lot of people are just misinformed and think he's new Hitler, he wasn't for four years and he still won't be. You're point about Trump putting America first and therefore other countries second is the biggest point for this poll, I believe.

Ross Perot did better in 1992 than 1996, which you looked at. Still didn't win any electoral votes. There was some thought in 2016 that the Libertarian might win New Mexico, where he was a former governor, thus denying either main candidate a majority in the Electoral College, but he didn't come close there.

I'll go vote in a couple of hours, once it gets to 60deg or so, because I'm walking to the polling place (a school about a mile away).
