As an European I can confirm that we forced Apple to USB C. So charger problems solved.

As a German I can tell you its not as easy as it seems to be. Of course the money still has to be earned somewhere and all of that (Health care, education) is being paid by the tax payers. When I go to the doctor and I leave without payment, its just I paid already with my health insurance which is mandatory. For me thats around 300$ each month and I also pay for the health insurance of the unemployed.

It doesnt bother me personally even tho I would like to pay less taxes. But I came from a poor family and still was able to go to university because someone else paid for me. Thats why I dont mind paying for someone elses education.
Its kinds like an unwritten contract between the people. „I pay for you when you are in need and you pay for me when I am in need“. I dont think its unreasonable to dislike that idea. Its selfish, but not entirely unreasonable. But since americans talk so much about how much they love their country and repeating tirelessly that USA is the best country in the world, they truly dont care that much for their fellow citizens. I could never agree to a system which leaves someone hungry, sick or uneducated just because they dont have enough money.

As someone from europe who's always struggled with money I can confirm that I would 100% rather be poor in the EU than the US

What's shocking in how many Americans truly believe that providing basic care for the citizens is not right

They do pay for them though, with their taxes, taxes which are invested in improving their society.. instead of funding endless wars and enriching the industrial military complex

Their taxes actually go towards social programs, instead of feeding war crimes

Once you have your basic needs met and you have the ability to choose education without needing to take up immense amounts of loans. This is true freedom

We have one true issue in Europe: Americanisation of our systems, mostly due to influence of large companies.

As a German, I don't understand how you can be against health insurance that runs through the state. Why are you doing this to yourself? If you are sick, you can take 5 days of treatment and continue to receive your salary. How terrible it must be when you get sick and have to go back to work. Or seriously ill and unable to pay the medical bills. It's unimaginable for me. We are happy to pay part of our salary every month for this. Also as a donation for people with serious illnesses.

As a German I don’t understand why the audience laughs. It’s a perfectly normal conversation at the doctors office.

America seemed to stop trying to get better around 1980.
I used to look up to America when i was growing up in the 60s and 70s. Not now.😢

I know Trevor, it's crazy how much Americans don't want Americans to live a decent life.

The only thing keeping Brits going these days is 'at least we're not America'

It feels so absurd to hear Americans (especially Fox News...) say "This is not Africa" when they want to dramatize challenges typically associated with developing countries in their country. In Germany, we say "We're not in America here."

I'm French, I've been watching Dr Pimple and at first I couldn't understand why people let things get that bad. Once I remembered it's because they have to pay for the treatments it broke my heart.

As a European I did all those things. Go to the doctor basically for free, go to the university for free, had maternity leave for 14 months, twice. The dad then had six months of paternity leave. And of course I complained about the charger cables . 😂😂😂

America is not a country...America is a business; the bottom line is the only thing that matters.
