I went straight from a 1080p monitor driven by an RX 6700 XT to a 4k monitor driven by an RX 7900 XT - it was the most impressive technological upgrade I've seen in years. Worth it.

I think it depends on a few things like screen sizes and view distance. I also believe that PPI (Pixels Per Inch) is more important than actual resolutions.

All this debate between 1920x1080 and 2560x1440… and then there’s me wishing for 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 to be more readily available in computer monitors since the 16:10 aspect ratio has been making a comeback in premium laptops these past couple of years.

I had 1440p 27" 144hz and downgraded to 1080p 24" 240hz and I did'nt notice much of a diffrences visuals wise. But damn there is a huge step up from 144hz to 240hz.

The display on my phone is higer res and higher refresh rate (1440p 120HZ) than my monitor (1080p 60HZ) so that's awesome

1080p 24inch is good. Don't waste money unnecessarily. If you have extra money or your work need more precision and clearity then go for it. But make sure your system is enough powerful to support 1440p.

I have 1080p lg ultra gear monitor and it's very good.

I saw a laptop selling for 700$ that supposedly hd an RTX 4090, 300+ HZ screen (don't remember exactly what refresh rate) and claimed 16+ hours of battery gaming. Pretty funny.

My standard is that 1080p is fine untill about 27 inches. 32 inches for 4k.

It keeps your ppi realtively sane because 1080p is 💀 at 27+ inches.
