*Additional tip*
Push your strings against the bridge pins if the pins won’t pop out. It’ll release the tension.

6 years maybe, I always boil the string every 6 months, and use it until these 6 years

I was using my daddario strings for about a year and thought "might be time to change them, it feels a little rusty. Then I peroba oiled the fretboard. Feels brand new, strings will last for at least one more year.

I am cursed with VERY acidic sweat... I deadened the strings of multiple guitars all at once at my 2nd home (guitar shop) causing them to prohibit me from noodling on any guitar I wasn't seriously considering as a purchase... I always had to change the strings on all 3 of my performance guitars every week/gigg... They'd rust badly... Wiping them down or using fast-frett would slow the corrosion but did nothing to stop the trip to the grave...

I use those strings too Mike !!! Yes I use the same strings as Mike Dawes even though Im crap, surely that means Im a 10% better player !!!!😮
