Pulling the Detroit 4-53TIB

Decided to pull the liners, have them honed and put a new set of rings in it. This will bring back the compression and the engine will run strong and smoke free.:)

You made the right decision. The ceramic is hard material, best to check where it might have migrated. Good Luck

Awesome truck but I'll be honest, I'd be done with this setup after this. The cab has been off more than a 6.0 truck!

make sure none of that ceramic stuff got through the oil system and made its way to the crank bearings.

doesn't take much to plug up crank oiler holes...

The honing is a good idea Are you using 2 red liner crevice seals or one?
