Went to Amazon first, got overwhelmed and now I'm glad I came here. Thanks for narrowing it down. I was looking at 128s 256s to get a better value but now I'm educated

great video, the only point I would raise is you keep recommending and showing an SD card, and not a micro SD card. People will be confused! I always download my footage as soon as I get home, and back it up multiple times as well. Being a digital shooter, I have got into a good routine.

Ash - great help, as usual. I make a point of formatting in the drone. I’m sure a format is a format, but just in case, any ‘features’ the manufacturer applies are taken into account.

Very Good Ash. Years ago I bought 2 x 128GB cards for my Typhoon H. It kept saving crap or failed to save. Not all the time just as & when it felt like it. After researching I realised the U1 cards I had bought were just too slow so I just use them for old back up stuff and now only use smaller U3 cards but they're 64GB and I never get anywhere near filling them. I agree that 32 GB is probably plenty for average use. I'm now on Mavic Mini & Mavic Air 2 and they're fine on them too. Thanks. Jim

Ash, good advice that will save many people in the future. One thing I do is format a new card in the device it will be used in to make sure the card is what the device will be expecting. I do this even if the new card is the same format the device specifies. While purchasing cards recently I came across SanDisk 32 & 64 GB Express Pro cards, class 10 but the u-rating on the image was a 1. At this point I question the validity of the card and move on. It was a few dollars cheaper but not worth it if I'm not sure of the authenticity.

I lost my drone with a 128GB Sandisk extreme pro. I now use 32Gb sandisk extreme pro cards and switch them if I change locations.

The SD card link in the description seems to take me to a full size sd card that wouldn't fit in a drone. I'm not sure if anyone else is getting the same result.

😮 I don't know that I'd like changing my SD card with each battery change.
I did lose a 256g card in a drone that went down, so I won't likely make that mistake again.
Though on average, I use 100g per shoot.
One 128g Sandisk extreme pro has served me well. I always carry an extra 128 and a 64, just in case I fly for more than 2 hours. I shoot 80% in 5.4k 10 bit. That's a memory glutton.

And yes, your joke was shared so matter of fact, my face was indeed momentarily corrupted.

Another informative video but where you buy is as important as what you buy, I purchased a 16Gb Sandisk micro SD from a dealer on Ebay sure it looked just like a Sandisk but I was soon getting data loss problems so I contacted SanDisk and sent them a closeup photo they confirmed it to be fake one of the things was how the ink on the screen printing was done it just was not as sharp and clean as the real thing .So buy from a reputable dealer and be careful with Amazon as there are as many fakes as there are genuine. PS I reported the Ebay dealer to Sandisk.
