I prefer tying a long pole/stick btw 2 trees and draping the tarp over... No sagging!

Have you ever tried a evenk knot or Siberian hitch? Eliminate the need for a toggle makes setting up or taking down a ridgeline quick and easy.

You pull the rope through the loop to insert the stick and create the toggle, but whats the purpose of the toggle at all?
Why cant you wrap the rope around the tree and just pull the whole rope through the loop you made and pull it tight to the tree? Seems just as "locked" as it would with a toggle? Maybe even moreso? If the stick broke your rope would come down whereas if you just put the rope through the loop and pulled tight to the tree then you have the full tensile strength of the rope? No?

Here's a better idea for ya. Unless your ridge line is 14 ft long just run your line threw your loop. Yw
