The Weapons Bumblebee didn't Get to Use in Transformers 4. Age of Extinction is the entry that took things in a different direction. Since fans complained about not being able to follow the action because of the overly complex designs of the earlier films. Age of Extinction went with more simplified designs that were influenced by human warriors of different cultures. Optimus Prime was inspired after the medieval knights, Hound was a World War 2 soldier, Crosshairs was a Mercenary, and Drift was a Samurai. All of them got showcase their human inspired weapons except for 1. Which was Bumblebee. Many fans didn't know what he was inspired after but apparently he was a ninja. 1 of the clues that proved this was the big ninja stars on his back. They were originally intended to be used as melee weapons. Where Bee could spin them in his hands until they're piping hot and slice his enemies to ribbons. But the idea was abandoned. These are

The battle mask was awesome though! Stinger may have been a knockoff, but he had a sick design.

There was charm to the action when the transformers designs were complex. It was the camera work more than the complex designs.

Crosshairs reminds me more of an old WW2 fighter pilot as Crosshairs is proficient in flying spacecraft, he has a parachute, his head looks like a fighter pilot cap and he has a long aviator jacket.

Bumblebee seems to be the only bot that still looks like the ones from the first 3 movies.

Not too humanoid.
Vehicle parts are more noticeable than humanoid looking style.

Him being a ninja kindamakes sense with the mask he wears during battle. But other than that, i never once got the hint that he was a ninja. I just figured Bee was a badbass lol

I honestly liked Bumblebee's design in TF4. Now that I think about the Ninja part, he could be even more similar to Snake Eyes from GI Joe!

Bumblebee being a ninja makes sense given his role in the auto it’s as a scout, best suited for stealth missions given his small frame compared to other bots and his fighting style as well. I’d love for it to be confirmed that he’s a cybertronian equivalent to a ninja
