FILM DESCRIPTION:
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen.

Just realized that this is Charlie's first time seeing Bumblebee's darker side: the red eyes, his cannon, shooting the jeeps.

You can see how his body legit change to fit the characters he's playing.

When he's calm, the machine pieces has big gaps, making him look more round and open. Basically a big, metallic teddy bear.

When he's im assault mode, his form changed to look more sleek, giving him a compact looks and REALLY agile-looking. An absolute warrior.

I love how he immediately goes “oh hell no not my Charlie” and the sad look he gives her when she says “you remember don’t you?”

Can we all just appreciate that John Cena's character is literally how most normal people would react in situations like this?

I mean this scene and the "They're literally called the Decepticons. Are you sure this is a good idea?" Like talks smack about him but his characters are some of the most real things ever.

This scene was a huge lightbulb for me! The robot's eyes are naturally blue, but turn red when they get very angry! That's why the Decepticon eyes are red: because they're always full of hate, rage and malice, their eyes just stay red all the time! Genius!

This scene is basically: Beware the Quiet/Nice ones. Just because this movie wanted Bumblebee to be cartoon accurate, it does not in any way mean he's not a combatant. This dude is a veteran of the autobot/decepticon wars which waged for millions of years.

Even pissed off, he's still VERY carefully picking his shots to take out vehicles. He's not aiming for people (though splash might still injure cuz Cybertronian weapons got some kick), but he's still very controlled in his anger.

Bumblebee in this movie was an absolute treat. This is one of the only times he goes into kill mode and it was always for a friend who was injured. But in every other time he fights, he never does it out of aggression or out of hate. It was more about duty and love for the world he’s on and the friends he’s made and will make.

It's amazing how the red eyes, battle mask and more importantly body language make this seem like a completely different character.
