Setting reminder because I need to social engineer myself

Oy, that classic ENTP 30 minutes to tell an anecdote that could've been delivered in 3 sentences and a punchline.

Can't social engineer me if I never meet or talk to anyone :^)

We can stop this video if we all work together. Just report it as child abuse on our Si child.

Intp being socially engineered:

(What does this person want from me? Am i willing to do this? Do i value this person? Whats the short term/long term implications of this? Does caving on this change the social dynamic? What do i think of this person now that i am put in this situation? Does that change the value in the action being desired to be etc, etc....)

Intp: "what were we doing again?"

Person:"going out"

Intp:"I'm good. Got a show i wanna watch."

In summary,
1. Verify everything (shield)
2. Play a sucker to catch a sucker (sword)
3. Have humility (armor)

Thanks for the video... INTP here

There's a better way for an INTP to avoid being socially engineered and achieve true happiness:
Step 1: Don't talk to anyone ever (Why even bother?)
Step 2: Build a cabin in the woods
Step 3: Adopt an owl
Step 4:
Step 5: You don't care about PROFIT anyways

As an INTP only thing I don't like about CSJ's lectures is him taking HOURS to deliver 15 minute content. Also those weird impressions.

I can easily be manipulated after hurting someone’s feelings unintentionally. I will feel so bad that I will do what ever they want

As soon as he said that people only ask INTP what they think when they need help, I got triggered. Too real, too real.

I think it's a different tactic for the female INTP. In my experience, we're used to being called smart or asked for help. Usually this is followed by "I can't keep up." Apparently it's the unspoken way of saying "please dumb down your conversation." This is not flattering and just makes you feel more alone. What's shocking is if someone calls you kind. Clever, witty, or pretty are a dime a dozen. Being seen as caring acknowledges the part of you that tries to show regard for others, often to no avail. Being an INTP woman usually means having issues connecting to other women and people, in general. Most of us long to connect but also fear said connection. According to Personality Hacker, we should "seek out our tribe."

The one to be wary of is the person who gets your jokes and commiserates with you. "You are not alone." "It's ok." Those phrases are powerful and intoxicating. We're not looking to be saved or to save as much as someone who is an equal that values us as a person, not just a help desk. This kind of person feels plausible and obtainable.

This is merely my analysis, thus, there is room for error.

To be honest, we kind of have to socially engineer ourselves every day just to exist. If we didn't, there would literally be no sense of progress or momentum in our lives, as we'd just die in a static rut, penniless and drowning in poverty. I manipulate myself to shut my brain off the best I can to fall asleep, to go to work, to have conversations with people (both small talk and big talk), to try and be "normal" around others and get along with other types to ease the experience of life all while punching down my weaknesses so they don't have as much power. It can be exhausting sometimes, but we don't really have much choice. It feels like we're on of the least suited types to actually living an adult life, since we are so solitary and reserved, which cuts us off from many of the experiences that we're told are part of "growing up."

As an INTP… I can get manipulated, but then it's not like I don't know I'm being manipulated… I will willingly be controlled by people I actually care about or I think I love. Even if they hurt me, I wouldn't mind.
But as soon as I stopped caring, no matter what they do, I can careless if they died in a garbage alley……

I’m caught between my INTP curiosity and common sense that makes me wonder ‘Oh, what fresh hell is this?’

This is like a cautionary fable that protective mothers tell their INTP sons to scare them away from dating. Hahaha!

As an ENTJ, I have never felt so bad like this before. I promise I won't hurt a single INTP ever again in my life T_T

*INTP see's video and knows that anyone who is a fan now knows all of their secrets.* "I'm in danger."

Im an INTP and I think my strongest trait is being very skeptical. I’m skeptical of anything and anyone. I’ve seen a lot of friends being scammed before, and honestly I can’t relate at all with your story. I think one thing that can happen when I’m in love is racionalizing about staying in an unhappy relationship just because I know about my patterns towards men. Basically they all have same flaws, so why bother? But when it comes to be taken advantage money wise? NO WAY! Maybe it’s because I’m a woman? I’m curious to know what other INtps think about it.
