INTPs if they're not careful can turn into hollywoods archetypical losers. But, INTPs have crazy power, should they choose to wield it...

At first, I thought that developing Fe and becoming more "whole" is a way to "win" as INTP but then I quickly realised that it's actually not. Like it or not, most of the recommendations I've got from other people are about improving "emotional intelligence", whatever that means. Of course, I do know the term but I would not call it intelligence. I have an image that INTP's concept/model/type is a balance of "self" and "them" and there are so many of "them" that you absolutely cannot satisfy each and every one of "them" to the fullest. So, it's just a matter of making the balance right. Maybe that's why INTP's don't need that many people in their lives (the fewer people you have, the more you can give to each one of them)?

Why do INTPs need all this time to themselves? I think for creating revolutionary ideas, for change on a mass-scale. So, I would say that the recipe to win as INTP is to learn how to sell your ideas to others. We spend a hell of a lot of time pondering about god knows what. But that results in a deep analysis of any domain of our choice and that's why we can speak about such abstract and high-level ideas. Ideas are just what we are. We are our thoughts. And there must be someone that can grasp them and apply them to practical matters that can be helpful for many. That's the deep, intense motive inside INTP's brain/heart. We get a kick of it.

After watching a movie about Bill Gates (who is typed as INTP), how he attempted to solve the "shit" problem in third world countries, I realised he must be a freaking happy man: he has all the time to satisfy his hunger for knowledge and he has time to analyse globe-level problems. He got the idea and he convinced people to make it happen and they went for it (and for money, of course, so we cannot get financial interest out of the equation). That's a win for INTP to my opinion.

I 100% agree that INTPs are suited for advisory roles. We're not good decision makers. However, we are great at giving ALL the perspective to someone who can make decisions.

An INTP - ENTJ duo is the most potential duo to take over the world. INTP as the advisor and ENTJ as the executor.

My best advice for an intp is "just start and finish" because those are the hardest parts for us. Ironically those are the things that don't require much work.

As an INTP, I feel the biggest obstacle when it comes to teaching/coaching for me, is the overtly sensitive people. A lot of times, I have people getting offended/pissed off, or upset left right and center, because I gave them an answer that the weren't expecting, the truth. We're approaching towards a society where everybody needs to be politically correct, and there's a need to sugar coat everything. This is beyond me. I would rather stick to my room, thank you very much.

I've said so many times in my life that my ideal role is support. I want to work closely with people in charge without having any authority over or under me. Free of hierarchy, but respected for my insights. I want to be utilized as a resource for the people that have motivation to do and then I'll be free to study everything I want. I think the ideal state for the INTP is when they are the commodity to sell and not the fruits of their labor.

Just give me an ENTJ. We'll conquer the world in 2 weeks.

I was just explaining to one of my friends that I neglect my childhood friends in traditional terms, but part of my refinement process is only choosing friends who have that foundational mutual understanding where I don’t have to dance around for them to like me.

Just don't follow the wrong boss who take your credit and ideas as their own and sell it off to other to benefit themselves. Be really careful.

As INTP, I find ENTJ, ENFP, and ESTP take my advice really seriously

I’ve tutored people before and it was great for me, I had to figure out how do people learn and how to “pass knowledge” in an intelligible way and it has opened many doors since.
