Got 6 from petsmart, all looked pristine, noob employee took 15 min catching them, stirred all the crap from the bottom of the tank, got them home, next day 1 died, 2 developed fungus, bumps, damaged scales and fins, So far remaining 5 are in recovery mode and doing better. Hopefully they will grow one day to nice chunky size.

My Silver Dollars absolutely love Corydora pellets and algae wafers. I feed them in one particular part of the tank and come feeding time they are patiently waiting for me to drop the pellets. We are getting a much larger tank soon and it will be interesting to see how big they will eventually get.

Well made video!

I that like you flew to Sourh America to get that drone shot of the Amazon river. 😉😂 That’s us Australian’s mate - hard bloody workers!

Nice peacock bass too - you’re not afraid of large fish & tanks.

I would like to note these fish will absolutely jump out of the water if spooked. I've had two jump to freedom so far (they lived). Really suggest lids on the tank because of it. Its way too damn easy to spook them as well. They're an active fish but will dart when spooked, occasionally jump, and eventually hide in the corner until they feel safe again and come out.

Soooo I've only ever used natural sunlight in my tank with 5 silver dollars for over a year because they flip the f*** out when I use to put the light on. Even tried super dim light and they are not having it. They are all beefy and about 5-6 inches. Any suggestions on what I could do to eventually turn the light on

I would love to have silver dollars. I'm going to purchase a 200 gallon community freshwater aquarium. I would like to have silver dollars, dennison barbs, pearl gouramis, pictus catfish, and angelfish. Does that sound like a compatible group of fish?

Thank you so much for this video! Really enjoyed that, would you make a video about fire mouth cichlids as that’s what I am considering and can see you have at least one in your tank,

I've seen white sparkles on my new silver dollars. It looks like ich to me. But I see even yours have it. I've been wondering if it isn't just something natural with their scales and maybe not ich

I have 4 silver dollars in my 500 litre tank with my Severum fish. Is 4 enough or do I need to buy more? I do not wish to get more but if I have to I will.
