I saw Silver Dollars in a restaurant a few weeks ago. I felt bad for them and the other fish inside the tank because I doubt that a restaurant would be able to properly take care of the fish. Also, it looked like the tank size was too small for Silver Dollars. Did you know that Silver Dollars are closely related to Piranhas and Pacu?

Wow had silver $ for 5 yrs, one is 5” round, a 4”, a 3” and a 2”, never any problems with them in a 100 g tank.😊

I wish they didn’t eat plants. I find myself always having schools of white skirt tetras because I want the shape. Decent substitute imo. Or red eye tetras perhaps if you want the silver.

The cool fish in the tank is the female Mesoheros festae, aka red terror.
