Last year I watched as many videos as I could on thorogood boots, your videos in particular helped me decide on them. It's a year later and I'll never buy anything but thorogood moc toe boots for work. Standing on concrete kneeling for a year In them and not having your feet and knees throbbing by 3 o'clock is a great perk. Worth every penny. Thanks, for spending tons of money so I didn't have to!

I think you should include the laces in these reviews, I've replaced more laces than I can count. And I would like to know the difference between cheap and quality laces.

I’ve rotated between both for years while working 8 to 12’s on concrete and they’re both comfortable. I feel no difference between the cork and synthetic or the shanks. Concrete eventually takes it toll no matter what you wear. Both of these boots helped me get through around 8 months of Planter Fasciitis in both feet at the same time. A lot of times you can pick up the Carolina’s for less than or right around $100 on sale. I don’t see that with the Thorogoods. Love the videos!

I tried both on at Boot Barn. I had to size down one whole size from my sneakers for both. I was leaning toward thorogood until I tried them on. Even the wides were WAY too tight for my feet. The Carolinas, even with the steel toe, are the most comfortable thing I've ever put on my feet. Don't know how long they'll last, but for comfort and style, they get a 100%

I own both boots and I like the thorogoods a little more.

Thorogood is definitely not under $200

I've tried both. I bought the Thorogoods during the last Moctober due to what I learned about them on your channel. The Carolinas are more comfortable because the lateral stitching that goes from the upper to the moc toe area is located further up. The thorogood boots have the same stitching further down and when the boot flexes, it creates a pinch point on the top of my foot. The Carolinas do no pinch the top of my foot when kneeling down like the Thorogoods do. Thank you for this review!

I've been wearing Redwing 606's for years and finally made the switch to Moc toe boots about 3 years ago. I spend a lot of time walking on concrete and my feet, knees and hips definitely like the moc toe wedge soles better. I've tried the Thorogoods and the Carolinas. One thing I'd like to point out is that I have a wide foot and a 2E width in the Carolina is a wider boot than the Thorogood in the exact same size. The Carolina felt like slipper's when I first put them on, the Thorogood had me wanting it in a 3E or 4E which by the way isn't available in a Throrogood. The Thorogood is a good boot but took much longer to break in and required boot stretchers to aid in the break in process. In my opinion the Carolina is way more comfortable and more generous in the toe box than the Throrogood is. You can talk about what each boot is made out and while it is important comfort and correct fitment is MUCH more important.

I tried both of these back to back recently. The thorogoods felt like they were made longer but narrower. And every pair I tried were too tight across the top of the ball of my foot. So I went with the Carolinas.

My 8 year old thorogoods finally gave out a few months ago. They had two resoles done. They made it that long in the oilfield. So I’d said they were definitely great boots and worth the money.

Please do a review on the Corcoran historical jumpboot by cutting them in half. They are the cheapest but best Goodyear welted boots out there and they are made in the USA

I've had both. I loved the Carolinas. They felt great the whole 4 years I had them.

Not sure if it has already been stated in the comments (way too many to read each one, but great for the moctober discussion) but I have both the thorogood and Carolina moc toe boots. I felt there was an incredibly noticeable difference in the weight of each. The Carolina’s feel much lighter than the thorogoods. Both pairs have held up for multiple years of use in an industrial maintenance setting. But the noticeable weight difference has me sold on the Carolina’s for future purchases. Thanks so much for adding them to this years Moctober selection!

Need to throw the ever-so-popular (at least at my workplace) Irish Setter moc toes. So many employees swear by them, I believe it's nearly a 50-50 split on Thorogood and Irish Setter ownership. A great idea to thank the viewers for the channels success would be to have an end of moctober giveaway. A few viewers to win moc boots of their choice. Just an idea.

Just got my first pair of Thorogoods a few weeks ago and they are by far the best boots I've ever worn. I have had Carolina, Red Wing, Ariat, Justin's, Timberland, Wolverine, etc and my thorogoods are better than all of them by far in my opinion. I wanna try Danner next because they are also American made and I've heard great things about them

My local shop just sold me a pair of steel toe 6-inch Thorogood's for 195 out-the-door! Couldn't believe it. This is their standard price and people drive from all over the state to get them here. They're not broken in yet, but I already love them! Cushy, lightweight, and they look awesome! All of my friends swear by them and I can already see why. Broken in, they might be the best boot I've ever purchased, and I've spent double the price on other boots.

I've wanted a Moc Toe Wedge Sole boot for a while and not wanting to go cheap. I normally wear a 12W or sometimes an 11.5W. That said, Red Wing and Thorogood were completely out. I tried and way too narrow even 2E width, they also run long. After watching you cut the Thorogood and Carolina in half and compare, I figured that I'd give the Carolina a look. I read a review that said the Carolina has a fuller toe box than the Thorogood and Red Wing, so I went to Overlook Boots in Glen Rock PA with great success. They have a large inventory and very willing to assist. The Carolina size 11.5 D was just a bit snug with medium weight socks and after a days wear they feel incredible. Thanks Rose Anvil for your content!!!!

I live like 30 minutes from the Carolina shoe company in Martinsburg. Super small town but I always went there to get work boots.

I have 3 pairs of Thorogoods. Had some work boot vouchers to use up. I’ve been wearing 1 pair of the non steel toe Thorogoods for about a year now. My job consist of a bunch of walking on concrete. They have held up pretty well. Very comfortable. Easiest break in I’ve ever had with a boot. About 2 days and they were molded to my foot. Actually so comfortable I think I’m wearing Airmaxs or something. Downfall is they are pricey. If I didn’t have company boot vouchers then I’d probably go with the Carolina especially knowing how close of a moc toe that they are. Great video!
