I like how you gave a range of bad, good, and best instead of making it just a black and white issue

Stevia isn't artificial, why do you say that multiple times? I grow it in my garden. It's real haha. You can call it bullshit but it's not artificial

Thanks, Paul. I'll start putting fruit in my coffee right away!

Sugar is evaporated dried crystalized sugar cane nectar. So is quite natual also. So if honey is ok, which is actually bee vomit, sugar is fine also. The body doesn't differentiate.

No backed science on stevia holding any sort of contraceptive properties but I agree with everything else for the most part

Experimented with all of these myself.

Honey, agave and maple syrup will absolutely kick up your insulin and sugar cravings no matter what people say. If you don’t believe me just take a good tablespoon of honey and feel the sugar cravings kick in yourself.

Fruit is the best sweetener, particularly berries, with its fiber content. Stevia and erythritol in moderate amounts is your best bet if you’re looking for a traditional sugar alternative

I for one want to see Dr. Paul throw more processed food around. That would be epic! 😂

I'm allergic to honey lol. A real allergy. However I'm canadian and I live next to so many maple forests, you'd change your mind if you came here. There's maple water, that is a bit sweet and never heated, there's maple sugar, maple toffee, maple syrup & there's different grades and different kinds of maple syrup, there's maple butter (doesn't contain anything else than maple, but the texture is akin to butter). There are some molecules in maple syrup that are studied to help control blood sugars at Université Laval in Québec city.

Needed this. Thanks paul. Could you got a step further and do Monk fruit, allulos, unrefined coconut sugar, and date syrup and date sugar?

The root of this is a 1968 paper claiming certain tribes in Paraguay (Matto Grosso Indians) used stevia tea as a contraceptive.

To investigate this claim, Professor Joseph Kruc of Purdue University performed a study using rats (1968). He fed the rats stevia (enormous quantities by human standards), and they produced fewer offspring than the control group. (2,  3,  4) However, the study has been described as having dubious scientific methodology, and multiple studies attempting to replicate its findings failed. Kruc later admitted that the rats’ lower fertility rates may have resulted from his “overdosing” them on the compound

Stevia and Splenda are great for weight loss. I understand that honey may be better for bulking and that it’s probably a better choice in terms of health, there are no side effects to sweeteners as they are not metabolized by your body. Also, there are diabetics who need these sweetened just to live, so it’s not a negative for everything. I do respect your opinion, but I don’t believe it is valid in every situation.

I will still use artificial sweeteners no matter what, main reason why I lost over 100 lbs.

Now I totally get why you don’t want Splenda acsulfame or aspartame but stevia is a natural sweetener that isn’t that bad to my knowledge, of course you want to keep it natural but I think stevia has its place

Pure Stevia is a plant. Can be grown indoors. Mostly sold with Artif sweetener in powder form. Pure Stevia leaves are ok.
