Teach your dog a powerful NO

There is a fairly large contingency of folks who actually believe you should NEVER say NO to your dog, you should NEVER correct your dog and you should only train your dogs what to do and that will stop all of the unwanted behaviors.
I am baffled by the logic that this has and I folks actually buy into this, in what world would it be acceptable to NOT teach a dog that something is wrong? Why are folks owning dogs that feel you don’t need to teach a dog that something is wrong. Do they really believe that if we train them all the great things to do, they will just magically not do any unwanted behaviors since they want to please us so much and just love doing all the right things.
I say bullshit on this and I have never seen this happen at all.

What is peoples hesitation to actually correct their dog for a behavior that they do not want the dog to do? It is a step by step process that makes sure the dog understands that a certain behavior is bad. It will end up with you having a better relationship with your dog, trust your dog more, bring much better clarity to the dog. You can go more places, be around more environments, truly enjoy your dog to the fullest.

Being proficient in stopping unwanted behaviors with your dog is actually a necessary skill to have for in order t live your life fullest with your dog.

I always had bird hunting dogs growing up, labs, golden retrievers, and Chesapeaks. Other than one time when i had to stand up against our chessy who was twice my size and determined to bully me into submission, i thought that dog training was incredibly simple and easy.
Now i have a mutt who i believe has blue heeler in her mix, and i realize that's not the case. She's a biter (playful). She's sketchy around new people and constantly tests and tries to redraw the boundaries of what she can get away with. She's a wonderful loveable and loving person, though.

…That feeling when you realize having to explain to everyone why you went with balanced training for your dog was the start of getting red pilled 😂😂 seriously Reddit forums and positive reinforcement only rules were mind bending when I was researching dog training; went against everything you learn in psychology 101 😂 thanks for closing that loop.
