The German commentator has no idea what’s going on … or he’s gaslighting.

19 houses? The Russians split the city into 2 😂. DW coverage of the conflict is always funny.

They always say Russia is wasting soldiers in non strategic and not important town, then why Ukraine is holding town and loosing soldiers in non strategic town.

Marina Miron is a serious analyst explaining at least why it is important for the Russians to take the city and other details so that viewers understand the stakes in a realistic way; the other guy is a laughing stock saying absolutely nothing apart from "symbolic" reasons and the like we ve been listening for ever in this war. No wonder there is zero strategic success for the West with such incompetent analysts like the first guy.

Well for one, capturing Avdiivka will remove Donetsk (capital of the self proclaimed republic) from shelling range of Ukrainian forces. Which is a big pr W for Russia

But Avdiivka will not fall that easily, Syrsky seems to be willing to meat grind in a Bakmhut 2.0

"They have captured 19 houses" You look at the maps today and see the city split in two...

This city is a logic hub and the best fortress for the Ukrainians, if it falls Russia will be gaining grounds rapidly

Adviivka is more fortified than Bahkmut. Of course it will be costly to take. Yet it will still fall into Russian hands.

We heard similar stories during the battle for Bukmurt

Reporter: "Russia has lost many soldiers trying to cut off the ruin city."

They are trying to downplay the capture of Avdiivka as non-important, just as they did Bakhmut

Wow, but according to the british defence ministry Russia lost all offensive capability a long time ago, and where reduced to fighting with shovels... Today Avdiivka was cut into two pieces by the russians, making it all but impossible to supply the southern part, they find themselves in a cauldron. . But nice try DW!

Zelensky admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April?
Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.

When Ukrainian capture something they call it victory but when Russian capture city they say it's completely destroyed, nothing left, 0 value 😅

Capture it? They surround it, level it, and then march over it.

Guest: “For Russia it is about symbolic proving the point that it can still capture the city.” What a cop-out!

When it will be Kiev, DW also will say " Kiev is nothing but symbolic and has no major impact for the war "
