Russia ’determined to take key Donbas cities before winter' | Professor Michael Clarke

Russia looks "determined" to take key cities in the Donbas "before the winter" as Ukraine focuses on Kursk, according to Sky's military analyst Michael Clarke.

He told Sky News the strategy could be risky for President Zelenskyy's leadership, as Russia will take "any amount of losses" to get the cities of Pokrovsk and Chasiv Yar before setting its sights on the rest of the Donbas.

The Ukrainian leader has sacked the commander of his airforce after a F-16 plane was destroyed during a Russian bombardment four days ago.
