Thanks! As always, that's awesome!

I think if you're just playing rhythm, no need to change your strings very often. The decreased brightness of your strings is probably an advantage in helping the vocalist or lead player to be better heard.

But yeah, if you're playing lead, you'll want to replace your strings fairly often.

Also, when you buy a guitar, replace the strings; the strings that come with a guitar are usually not very good.

I am poor but have fingers that don't rust strings, so I keep using guitar strings even when they are very old😅
I like both old and new😅

Ive alwyas been a fan of how old strings sound. Too much treble and brightness on new strings

Fun fact, guitar snobs that say "it's good to change your strings often for better sound" don't know what they're talking about and just want to sound informed. The truth is most people are fine with using strings for years. My hands sweat so my strings rust pretty quick, but even then they still sound decent, the only problem is the increased risk for a string to snap over time. And if one string snaps, or it starts feeling risky like it might, don't replace one, just replace them all. Strings are cheap and it's easier to keep track of the age of strings that way.
