Excellent breakdown bro!

We are slaves to sin, until we are born again and freed in Christ by God's goodness and will, AMEN.

Love R.C. Sproul - what a blessed brother in teaching - the Love of God flowed!

The man-centered hate God's Sovereignty.

People like Leighton and Brian also seem to completey forget that it isn't just obviously sinful actions or thoughts that are sins. ANYTHING, even what we call "good deeds" that are NOT done in faith are sinful (Romans 14:23). When Christ is asked what is the greatest commandment, His response is:

“Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭29‬-‭31‬ ‭

Does ANYONE besides Christ do this ALWAYS? No man, woman, OR child has ever done this for even one picosecond of their entire existence and will not without the covering of Christ's righteousness. So their whole concept of "not being held accountable until they personally sinned" completely crumbles when you see that anything short of perfection in God's eyes, both in a negative righteousness (don't do xyz) and in a positive righteousness (DO abc), is considered sin.

54:00 roughly around there, Flowers says

"I am the first cause of my moral decisions"

That is outright blasphemy.

Charitably, i really hope Flowers meant to say "proximate" cause.

But that would be inconsistent with his other beliefs.

I really pray the Lord opens his eyes!

We don't have an "inclination to sin". We are "in a state of sin" or "sinful". Therefore we sin. You do things because of what your desires are. Not because you have "inclinations"

I'm a "Reformed Universalist" or a universalist that rejects free will theism. I have devised my own acrostic. TULIPS. Stands for total depravity, unconditional election, limited election, irresistible grace, perseverance of the saints, and the last salvation universal.

I would love to hear Flowers explain this one to me. Since the general rule is that everyone is condemned for his own sin, and no one is condemned for the sin of another (Deuteronomy 24:16), how is it that through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men (Cf. Romans 5:18) if all men did not commit the one transgression?

It's been a minute since I've stopped by, have you done something new with the audio?

I know Flowes and company, among many others, hate that God doesn't hold guiltless children... Seems they just hate how God has revealed Himself in the scriptures.
Exodus 34:7
"...keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

Leighton: I think God is *fair* that He's just. This is the argument from Romans 9. Why does he still find fault, for who can resist His will. (that doesn't seem fair) Yep Leighton is he, the one asking the question/speaking back against God.

And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,

“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come!

Revelation 4:8

Free to act out your enslaved nature << a little convoluted, but hey, it is what it is. I love this channel. it's my new fave.

Why do we need to stay in God's word to be made free if we are already free? The Jews thought they were free, while living under the heel of Rome.

John 8:31-33
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”

Is Jesus speaking of another form of freedom than man understands?

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

At the 1:03 mark Brian implies that God limits freedom and causes men to sin. These guys are so turned upside down

All Provisionism is, as Collin said, “an all you can eat non-Calvinist buffet”. They define themselves by saying they aren’t Calvinism 😂.

Leighton is incoherent on so many levels, as is Provisionism. He claims that original sin doesn’t exist and nobody is guilty until they actually sin. That a nature is only “inclined to sin”. Which on his view means that perfection is logically possible. Just saying people will eventually sin doesn’t solve the logical pit he places himself in. And why will people sin eventually Leighton? He will say because of influences and surroundings and then in the same breath deny determinism and affirm libertarian free will and self-determinism. Which affirms that no outside antecedent influence causes choices, that the individual is self-determining and autonomous. Which again, implies logically that perfection is possible. And to think, all these cartwheels just to deny that we are the creatures and God is the creator and our wills and actions aren’t divorced from the ultimate purposes and plans of God. In fact He determines all that will come to pass by our actions and choices among everything else as His power upholds and sustains the universe. They think it rescues God from the charge of authoring evil, when all it does is make a god who knows the future, knows what will happen and either isn’t powerful enough or care enough to stop pointless and meaningless evil. Sorry, I’ll take the God of the Bible over this man made Hebraic mega-Zeus.

Non-Calvinists must use the term “forced” because they know that implies we have no choice and we are just robots and people know that’s not the case. Calvinists don’t think we are forced either. We freely chose what God has already ordained. This isn’t that hard

These guys equating Adam with Adam’s posterity is laughable. Also if the fall didn’t actually result in a sinful nature and people are only responsible for their personal sin, Then why are people “born outside of the garden” like Leighton says? Isn’t that unjust of God to punish someone who hasn’t sinned yet? Provisionism is so incoherent.
