You. Hit. The. Nail. On. The. Head. Perfect video for anyone to watch considering PM, newly joining the field or just needing to decide if it's still good for you. Love the last bit of enjoining the "game" and "molding" the project. Thanks again!

Although I'm not officially a project manager but I lead small and medium level projects. So far all has went well. I'm really getting better at planning and that helps at later stages. Thank you Adriana, I just follow you because you're the best mentor/teacher.

Dealing with disagreements can be challenging for me. I tend to try and find a middle ground, but sometimes that is not the option and I end up not knowing what to do. I think it's time to explore and develop this ability further!

Good day and thank you for your advice. I had sat the exam for Project Mangement.
I may not have the experience to become a Manager, generally speaking. This field of work I has interest, because without technology, one individual will not be able to inhance a project.

Excellent tips on project management as a career! I found you on Twitter as I just came across your profile and found that we have common interests, so now I’m following you on Twitter and you have a new subscriber here! I’m a freelance social media manager and copywriter, and I know it’s not close to the same when you’re dealing with clients on a global scale, but I do have all these skills. It can be difficult at times to get everyone on the same page when others on your team disagree, but as long as your own communication skills are up to par and you continue to keep developing these and all your other skills and talents, you can and will achieve anything you want. I enjoy what I do, but I have thought many times about a career transition, and project management has been at the top of my list. Excited for more of your awesome content! 😊

I believe I could be a great project manager because I think I have a very high EQ, compassion for others, excellent communication skills, knack to get along with just about anybody , exposure to many domains, educational qualifications, excellent negotiating skills and a excellent eye for attention to detail because of me 15 years of experience working as a QA engineer .
However, why I may be a terrible project manager because my presentation skills are dismal, I get nervous while addressing or presenting to a large audience and am a pretty unorganised person overall, even in my personal life . I also suck at meeting deadlines sometimes and am not a very hard worker and may set a bad example for the team . Also, beyond a certain point, I find it hard to manage people and their temperament or resolve inter personal conflicts etc . Also, because of my friendly nature, people may not see me as a “leader” .
Keeping all the above in mind, I’m still contemplating whether I should take the plunge into project management or stay happy with my current role !

I very much want to move into PM. Unfortunately my career has been a series of small companies or heavily siloed positions, so I only had the chance one time to work with a PM. I have taken some online courses and my BS in Organizational Leadership had a semester on PM (which really got me interested). I’m just worried about getting my foot in the door because it’s a career change.

Based on my personal experience, this is the worst job ever for agreeable and introverted people (unless you are working on smaller projects/teams).
You don’t have much of the control, but are responsible for everything. If you are more logical, extroverted, not very emotional/sensitive, and enjoy being a jack of all trades, this might be good for you

Dumb question! What is an example of a “project” that a company would want done? Thank you!
