preview_player
Показать описание
Chapter 35 VA benefits are available to the children, spouses and surviving spouses of veterans that have a VA disability rating of 100% P&T. VA benefits for dependents can include education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain disabled veterans. The program offers up to 36 months of education benefits. Additionally, the dependent must be between the ages of 18 and 26. In some cases, it is possible to start before the age of 18 and continue after the age of 26. Furthermore, getting married does not end eligibility for these benefits.

DEA pay made a whole lot of difference, even with the 100%. So glad I did my research unlike most people.

What's up CC,
I hope the VA (which I doubt) or the new president next year will abrogate the age limit. My son is past 26, so the DEA for me is useless. Sometimes, kids mature late and this assistance will give them a second chance to be productive US citizens. He's in the medical field by the way 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hello CC. If I didn’t claim my son on my taxes since he works and wanted a refund, but he still lives here at home, is he disqualified as my dependent? Hoping I didnt screw this benefit up. He is going to school full time and just found out I’m 100% P&T. Thanks so much for the video and help.

Does the student get the dependent pay for the months they are not actively in school and receiving the $1, 400 for 100% P& T?

Craig, my son is in HONDO club, he found out that being born and now living in Texas his kids are not eligible for college because he didn’t go into the service in Texas. I was living and working in Ohio at the time and unfortunately he had to move around with me. I think that sucks wasn’t his fault he went into USAF and served his country for like 15 years.
