Yes, it does work for trade schools also. Im 100% P & T since 2017, and my stepson used it to go to Welding School.

If you have the new VA ID Card and its the one that lists your Branch and that you are service connected. That Troop can now shop at the PX and Commissary.

I'm 100% service connected and it was very easy for me. My disabilities are well documented when I was on active duty. I also have no claims for PTSD and anyone who claims that is automatically scrutinized heavily because of the massive amount of cases in the system. People have issues with the VA but mine have been mostly positive and easy to navigate, but then again my issues are easily verified with my active duty medical records, bloodwork, and radiology.

This law firm helped me get my TDIU after I couldn't get anywhere with them.

You get free glasses and dental if you’re 100 per cent. You can shop at commissaries and gas up on base. Your spouse and dependents can shop at PX, commissary, and get gas too. Heck you can even shop for furniture if there’s a furniture shop on base.

TY! Good coverage of the main benefits. Veterans and spouses should know that DIC is not the same rate as veteran disability compensation. I personally have a folder on my computer in case I pass with all information for my spouse related to DIC. Another great benefit for 100% total and permanent veterans through the VA is dental.

Free hearing aids if you have service connected hearing loss. Caregiver (PCAFC) and Veterans Directed Care programs (VDC) if you qualify.

They have not bugged me as I have had surgery for every claim. I have dates of actual combat
situations that caused these issues. Your combat unit has records of dates and areas of operation.
THAT seals the deal, so to speak.

Florida, your property tax exemption = your rating percentage.

Upon the death of a 100% disabled Veteran the surviving Spouse gets a "Portion" of the deceased Veterans monthly compensation. That money can only passed on to the Spouse (on a monthly payment for the life of the Spouse) if they have been married for 10 years from the date of rating Award Letter. As of now, 06/24, there is a new Bill moving through the Senate that will reduce the time to 5 years and greatly increase the amount. Also the surviving Spouse can keep their Champ VA.

DEA aka Chapter 35 also means your dependents (RE: spouse/children) pay IN STATE TUITION no matter what state they choose to attend school.

HI GUYS. I served in Panama 1967 to 1969. I have symptoms of similar to Agent Orange. I often wondered what was used as a defoliant on the firing range, fence line around the Base, along both sides of the Canal and the lakes.

I have learned so much from yall. You indirectly helped me realize the claims that i actually should have made when i retired, but i always just "sucked it up". Took me a few years, but i got my rating. I do have one question. I just got my 100%, but I have claims that are on appeal still and have been for over 2 years. What happens with those appeals?? I really dont want to poke the bear needlessly

Good information. TY. Small feedback. I have and many have Tinnitus. You’re in a room (I think) with no carpet and there is a bad echo when you talk. I’d like the info wo distractions.
