They managed to missinterpret Nietzsche and Jung at the same time. No easy feat.

"I don't have to believe anymore because I know"- Carl Jung
One of the greatest quotes I ever heard in my life

Theologists always or for the most part, misinterpret men such as these. What they fail to understand is that Jung's concept of "God" is completely different than what they have in their head.

Jung argued for the origin of all concepts through the unconscious. Nietzsche was a critique of the dogmatic ego of what religion has become and how it can blind men of faith to the legitimate physical world we live in.

For somebody to fully comprehend what Jung is trying to express. They must let go of everything their environment already set them up for. However that requires a mental deconstruction of the 'Ego'. A concept very few are capable of

You misunderstand Nietzsche. He is against religious doctrine and morality, he is not against the idea of a depersonalised God.

I as an atheist do acknowledge the difficulty and problem with " creating your own values and meaning."
Some may say it's literally impossible to create your own values and I could agree to that under certain definitions. But I just see that as a issue by which people who can't make themselves believe in a traditional God find a method by which we can discover meaning in our lives, A meaning that's truly transformative in our actions and in our experience of reality and are every moment of consciousness.

You misinterpret Jung. Jung's god is not the monoteistic God, but a gnostic Abraxas. This is where he fools Christians. He doesn't believe in Christian god, let alone Jesus' salvation. For Jung is of utterly no importance, if Jesus ever lived.

Both of them felt that there is a Creator from whom we derive all things in existence.

God transcends religion, each person should have a personal relationship with “it” or no relationship with it at all… institutional religion is a control apparatus- if it weren’t, it would be until it was.

Religious ppl aren't better off mentally as a default.

Nietzsches take on religious sentiment as neurosis meant these experiences were formed out of the chaos . This dude here is talking about how religious people are mentally more stable doesn’t have anything to do with what he meant

Jung believed (gnostically ?) in a God beyond the God of theism

I’m not quite sure what to believe yet. The more I learn the more I think that all these gods came from somewhere common, it’s just difficult to pin when and where that is. And whether we came first or they did. If we are a product of their power, or they a product of ours.

There were many things that precondition gods and many other things to be governed. If you went back 2000 years ago and asked what religion do the goal and followed by they wouldn't know what you're talking about it was a way of life and understanding not religion the word religion was not in existence until way later regarding our understanding as we know it religion

God created everything and everyone. Humans made religion.

How could one even contend that religion isn't a creation of humanity? Every instance of revelation has been conveyed to humanity through individuals known as prophets, who claim to have communicated mysteriously with a divine entity. Humans are uniquely capable of introspection, examining their actions, personalities, and selves. Additionally, it is sometimes suggested that individuals who are deeply religious may exhibit a certain lack of critical thinking. It's worth noting that some of the most religiously devout regions on Earth are also the ones facing significant poverty or entrenched in conflict.

Furthermore, there seems to be a correlation between intelligence and an inclination towards introspection and potentially even depression. As knowledge deepens, the inherent flaws of both individuals and the world become more evident. Intelligent individuals might find it difficult to take refuge in nihilistic thoughts of an afterlife paradise, as they grapple with the stark realities that present themselves, that is the reason why religious people are happier.

Nietzsche is a weird thinker because he oftentimes spoke with a lot of irony. For example in writing a paragraph he may make it seem like he was hammering an explosive point home while eventually ending up in seemingly negating himself later on in later parts of the same book. And too often Nietzsche would use strong words in a manner that blows their definitions so much that they no longer mean what they are classically used to refer to, perhaps for the sake of exploration. In some sense he had to do what he did, ie. be extremely explosive and flip the meaning of words and destroy stultified habits, that it would clear the ground enough so that somebody in the future can formulate a genuine way forward. Which is where Jung came in.
