Here's another perspective: you can victimize yourself - blame yourself for everything and hold yourself accountable for everything, and end up feeling like a victim of your own poor choices. There's no doubt that ruminating in a victim mentality isn't healthy, but not everyone who feels the despair of victimization is blaming everyone except for themselves.

So if someone robs you on the street, it’s your fault… and you can change yourself not to get into such situations… alright… are you sure the robbers will stop to exist just because you changed yourself? What if the robbers will stay no matter what you do? Like half of people will work on themselves, cleanse themselves and the robbers will just rob each other because the part who they used to rob will become unavailable? Wasn’t Jesus just killed by those who were not like him? And competition, are you sure it is for everyone? Are you sure everyone wants to compete? Are you sure it is actually stimulating not demotivating? Or then you go: “if it’s demotivating, then it’s victimhood”? When one might just not have an interest to achieve anything out of competition… it’s pretty much same old way as all businesses are working and making societies to fight with each others: who’s faster, who’s stronger, who’s smarter, who’s trickier and so on… if you are a nurse, are you competing with another nurse in being the best? If you are a classic music composer does competing with a popstar make you any better? Or do you say that it’s competition with back street boys made someone a composer?
