A computer science degree can be difficult! That's why I've condensed my whole Computer Science degree into 15 minutes! OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I still have put here some of my favorite classes and what I learned.

I'm 34 and my first day of college was yesterday. I'll be doing all my general courses then transferring to the local University. The main thing that caught me by surprise was how much math I'd be doing. I hated math growing up, basically, a high school dropout, last time I did even basic algebra was for my GED over a decade ago. I'm in College Algebra right now, then Precalculus Algebra, Precalculus Trig, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Linear Algebra. Physics 1 and 2, as well as Chemistry. I know the Computer classes won't be easy, but I'm sure if I can pass those math courses then I'll be able to get through all the other classes. Hopefully, I'll be checking back on this comment in 4 years to say I'm pursuing my Masters. Lol.

I'm working through a Masters in Computer Science right now, but a lot of this rang true for me. My Bachelors was in History and I actually have an MA in History too, but I had done some IT stuff in the past and my liberal arts career path hit a dead end, so I figured programming would be a great way to combine my technology skills with may arts/creative background. And so far it's paid off, both financially and in terms of personal fulfillment.

Since I didn't have a CS background I had to do some prerequisites for my MS, and yeah, had to do an equivalent of your Computer Engineering class. Logic gates were fun but Boolean algebra and simplification kicked my butt.

Cool journey. Now do a video about your Masters as well. That'd be interesting. :)

I wrote more papers the night before for my degree then I'm proud of admitting. I joke that I got a Major in BS and a Minor in Procrastination. ;-)

I did a Master in Information Systems which was the most useless thing ever. Now I am trying to learn to code by myself

Kind of sounds like my experience. I took some time off, and now I am back! Only need three quarters to get my CS Bachelors. 😃

Interesting, it seems that you are free to choose all your classes in the states, I had to follow a curriculum back when I was at the University but if I had that option I would choose all the classes related to programming and computers :)
