I'm gonna be honest, this is a completely soul sucking approach to education, and it's not surprising to hear that despite high academic achievement, it resulted in dropping out.

It literally doesn't make sense to go to university if this is your thought process. The point of Uni is that you delve deeply into the topics and content of your major while exploring other diverse topics to round you out. If you're just gonna gut the education experience into a simple grade processing simulator, you might as well just do a boot camp and grind away like a worker bee on leetcode instead of wasting that time studying for a test that you'll forget about in a few weeks.

This is what I came up with in the last few months. I am a high school student and I focus heavily on self teaching programming. More than 75% of my classes are a waste of time and I no longer feel bad skipping them as I do a ton of work on my own and I hate wasting time.

I wasted my whole year just by going to class where i didnt understand anything. If i dont go to class i will get less attendence and then they will not let me to write exams.

I'm set to graduate high school this year and I agree about the notes I'm doing real okay and I haven't wrote a single note because, as all my teachers know, I don't believe in it (or biology) and I think I should focus on understanding topics rather than writing pretty notes - there's always the textbook or PowerPoints to look back on

Does not work in India. My uni had 75% min attendence criteria and we got marks out of 5 based on attendence. We all went to all classes like donkeys

taking notes is important, even if u never reference back to the notes. it helps the first time learning things to go through it step by step methodically and u need to take notes to do that
