i remember as a kid, my mom had a 98 (i think) civic with the 5 speed. it had a little muffler on it, or something that made it drone like a ricer, so us kids really enjoyed it. my mom lost control of the honda whipping it around a sudden, tight corner, in rainy conditions, and mananged to countersteer, and slide it all the way cleanly through the turn. we were all super stoked, and called it a "tokyo drift" lmao. its not til later on in life that i realized a civic was FWD, and that made it even more insane that my mom pulled that off without killing all of us accidentally. 🤘🏻

Very neat. I used to come in fast and neutral rev and dump it (with steering countered) as i whip the back out in my 97 civic. So youd slip the front (counter steer held) and balance it with how hard you whipped the back. It was just a theory, never perfect but it worked a few times.

This is the fastest way to take corners. It's very easy to miscalculate though; I totaled my integra eventually.

if you start the slide before the apex, which you did, it's a drift.

That would be classified as a powerslide due to the fact that the slide was initiated entirely by weight transfer and was initiated at the apex of the turn. If the slide had been initiated at the entry to the corner and held until the exit, which is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE on this exact platform it would be classed as a "drift" but this is by definition a powerslide.
