How to solve Windows 10 error "We couldn't Create a new partition or locate an existing one". This problems usually happen when using an SSD on a desktop computer. In some cases the same thing can happen on the hard drive.

As per the video, I tried to use the entire SSD space for the Windows operating system. So there is no partitions are assigned for the SSD. In my case, i can use the "CLEAN" command after disk 0 is mapped, Because it is a drive with no files. But in your case, if you're trying to use the similar step on a single partition from a disk, then do not use the "Clean" command at this stage. Because, it will format entire disk, and all files and data will be loss. So, I'm suggesting you to watch the diskpart data saving method to secure other partitions.

Worked great. After following these steps I close diskpart, I hit refresh, I saw a new unallocated drive. I hit new, click yes, and windows formatted and did all the work. Installed successfully. Thank you

After clean command, you have to close CMD and refresh the disk list. it will show unallocated device select that and click new. Done.. Thanks

Worked like a charm, my ASUS laptop has not been used for more than a year because I couldn't fix it, thank you boss!! Btw for me the clean part works, but it erases all my old data which I dont mind because I already backed up my data in an external harddisk. After clean part, I clicked the blue screen at the back, click refresh and suddenly there was a new drive, click on the new drive, press next and viola!! my laptop is installing new windows!! 😍

Thank you so much, this is the only one of these video instructions that worked for me as well. After CLEAN, I hit new and allocated the whole SSD volume size, APPLY. I just let windows take care of the formatting, install and partition.

What most of you didn't understood was that "suppose you have a HDD and SSD in your laptop or desktop. Executing CLEAN command would format everything on the disk that was selected( here SSD) using the command SELECT DISK. But it won't delete any data on any other hard disk or SSD used internally or externally plugged in."

After doing the above steps type EXIT in CMD and Refresh. Click New and hit apply.

Found a fix, when it said that I just restarted my PC and booted from USB once again to the installation and began deleting all the msr(master boot record) or those small partitions created by the previous installation and after that it let's me install normally
