This man knows what he did was wrong and he will pay for it with his life. But he made peace with God by putting his faith in Jesus Christ and that Christ has paid for his sins including his crime. He knows his only hope is in Jesus Christ and not what other think about him. That is why he will be with God but he will enter heaven by th blood of Jesus Christ. He doesn't fear death because Christ conquered death and for the believers in Christ, to be absent from the body is to be present is to be present with the Lord. He is now in heaven because of his faith in Christ.
